My sister and I had dogs from the same litter when we were in grade school. She named her pup Rosie and I named my pup Maddy (Madeline after the children's book). They were a dynamic duo and got into a lot of mischief. Unfortunately, Maddy passed earlier and Rosie was devastated to lose her sister. We later adopted Hana and they became an odd couple of sorts. Rosie acted like an old' angry curmudgeon, but Hana adored her nonetheless. This piece is a dedication to Rosie.
